Avon Maitland School Board Honours Wage Freezes

The Avon Maitland District School Board is not on the list of boards that have given their directors raises, in spite of a wage freeze imposed by the province.

Avon Maitland Communications Manager Steve Howe reports the salaries of the board's director and superintendents have been frozen since September of 2011 in compliance with the ministry directive.

Recently it was learned that about 20 boards across the province had given raises to their directors and superintendents despite the provincial freeze directive.
