The Deputy Mayor of Saugeen Shores will lead the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority board in 2015.
Luke Charbonneau elected in their first meeting on Friday, replacing Bill Scriven in the post.
Dan Kerr, Maureen Couture and Brian Gamble were all appointed as vice chairs for the year. There are ten board members in total.
The newly formed SVCA board discussed the upcoming budget, as well as highlights of 2014, including battling the 8th highest flood levels in 100 years.
Conservation Ontario chair Dick Hibma was also on hand for the meeting, and explained what the provincial organization has been working on.
"We've been very much involved in working through drinking water source protection as a response to the tragedy that took place in Walkerton in 2001." Hibma said.
