The Grey-Bruce Alzheimer Society is making one final push to get pledges collected and people involved in next weekend's Walk For Memories.
The walk is being held in four locations at the same time on Saturday, January 31. These are indoor events for walkers of all ages, and take place at West Hill Secondary School in Owen Sound, Hanover Heights Community School in Hanover, Beaver Valley Community School in Thornbury, and Huron Heights Public School in Kincardine.
Registration starts at 9am in all locations and the walks officially begin at 10am.
All money raised by the Walks in Grey-Bruce stays in Grey-Bruce to provide information, education, support and counselling services for those with Alzheimer's and their families.
For more information or for a pledge form, visit the website www.alzheimer.ca/greybruce or contact the office at 519-376-7230 or 1-800-265-9013 or email btwaddle@alzheimergreybruce.com.

“Walk for Memories is our most important annual awareness and fundraising event,” says Executive Director Deborah Barker. “Our ability to provide timely services to persons with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, and to their families and caregivers depends on the success of the walks.”
This will be the last winter Walk for Memories. In the spring of 2016 the Grey-Bruce chapter will be joining Alzheimer Societies across Canada in the new national Walk for Alzheimer’s.
