Successful Season For Minto Farmers Markets

Minto's two farmers markets have reported another successful season.

The market in Harriston registered a small profit for 2014, and the market in Palmerston almost broke even.

Minto Mayor George Bridge called the markets a strong economic development initiative, which promote buying local food.  The markets re-open the weekend of June 5.

"Once again the Harriston and Palmerston Farmers Markets had a successful season and the committees are busy planning special events for our fifth anniversary in 2015," says Minto Business and Economic Manager Belinda Wick-Graham.
