Crash Involving School Bus In Georgian Bluffs

Police have charged a 54-year-old man after a collision involving a pick-truck and a school bus on Hwy. 6 at Minto Rd. in Georgian Bluffs.

This morning's crash happened just before 8:20am. The bus was stopped facing south on Hwy. 6 with its lights and stop arm activated when a southbound pick-up collided with the back of the bus.

There were 26 students on the bus at the time and a 17-year old female was taken to hospital as a precaution, but has since been released.

The pick-up was heavily damaged and the driver sustained a minor injury.

A 54-year-old Township of Georgian Bluffs man is charged with careless driving.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
