Owen Sound councillors will receive a report tonight on the struggles of the working poor in Grey-Bruce.
Peace and Justice Grey Bruce will present the final report of its Precarious Work Group.
The 32-page report is an economic argument for doing something about the rise of work that does not pay well enough to keep people out of poverty. This is becoming a stubborn problem for rural communities, as opportunities for good paying work disappear.
The report to Owen Sound council will include four recommendations that all Grey Bruce municipal councils could adopt.
