Winter Storm Warning For Midwestern Ontario

It looks like a good day to stay inside as hazardous winter conditions are expected today and into tomorrow.

Environment Canada has a winter storm warning in effect for Bruce, Huron, Perth and Wellington counties as a developing winter storm over Missouri is tracking towards southern Ontario.

Snow associated with this storm has already begun and will spread eastward today reaching the Greater Toronto Area by early evening. The snow will continue into Monday morning.

Over all regions, winds will strengthen and become gusty this afternoon and evening, The combination of snow and blowing snow will make for hazardous travelling conditions. These persistent winds will generate wind chill values of near -25 C tonight and into Monday.

The worst conditions are generally expected tonight.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
