Hanover Ready to Tackle 2015 Budget

Hanover Council will get a look at the proposed 2015 budget in early March.

In January, Council asked staff to bring the proposed 4 per tax rate increase down to 3 per cent.

The budget proposes $2.7 million dollars in capital projects, with $600,000 of that coming from taxpayers, up about 27-hundred dollars.

A number of projects are also being deferred to a future date

In the past, capital funds have been decreasing in order to sustain current services and programs and keep tax hikes reasonable.

But the Asset Management Plan indicates escalating investments are needed to sustain current infrastructure and assets.
