Flames ravaged two 2nd Ave. E homes in Owen Sound on Thursday.
Three people escaped unharmed, two in one house and one in the other. Owen Sound fire inspector Greg Nicol says the two buildings were fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.
Nicol says there were working smoke alarms in the building where the fire started that alerted the occupant.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
Residents on the west side are being warned of some possible low water pressure due to the fire.
