Crash In Dungannon Leaves Man With Life Threatning Injuries

The Huron County OPP is urging motorists to stay off the roadways due to harsh weather conditions in the region. Police have closed a number of roads in the area due to these conditions and also because of collisions.

Just after 1:30pm, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on Lucknow Line just north of Dungannon. The collision involved a Pontiac Sunfire and a tractor trailer.

A 21-year old male passenger in the car was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver sustained minor injuries while the operator of the tractor trailer was unharmed.

As of 5:30 that stretch of Lucknow Line remained closed.

OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigators will be attending the scene to investigate.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
