Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for Grey, Bruce, Huron, Perth and Wellington counties, calling for wind chills values to hit-30 C to -40 C overnight and Monday morning.
The national weather service says the stiff northwesterly winds will die off on Monday afternoon, leading to a moderation in temperatures.
Environment Canada says anyone planning to be outdoors should dress appropriately and exercise caution. Exposed skin may freeze in as little as ten minutes.
