3 Charged In Listowel Tire Heist

Three young men from Guelph face criminal charges after their arrest in Listowel early Saturday morning.

An officer on patrol spotted a pickup truck without licence plates. After pulling the truck over on Wallace Ave North, the officer noticed a number of tires on rims piled in the box of the truck.

A further investigation revealed that the tires on rims had been removed from vehicles at a Listowel car dealership on Wallace Ave North.

The three Guelph men, ranging in age from 18 to 22, are each charged with Theft Over $5,000 from a Motor Vehicle.

One suspect was also charged with Failing to Comply with a Probation Order; while another one was charged with Breach of Recognizance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
