Ausable Bayfield Maitland Valley Source Protection Hosts Meetings

The Ausable Bayfield Maitland Valley Source Protection is hosting two meetings over the next month to provide more information about the newly-approved Source Protection Plan.

The plan was approved by the Province last month.

Program Supervisor Jenna Allain explains the plan only affects those properties located close to municipal water systems, but the public meetings give people an opportunity to meet with Source Protection Committee members and Health Unit staff.

The first meeting is this Thursday, February 26th at REACH in Clinton from 3 to 7 p.m.

The second meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, in the Hot Stove Lounge of the Wescast Community Complex in Wingham, also from 3 to 7 p.m.

Allain adds they're also looking for new committee members so the Clinton meeting would be a good opportunity for anyone interested to talk with current committee members and find out what the position involves.
