Central Huron council has approved the site plan for a trailer camp at Bluewater Shores, along the Lake Huron shoreline.
But Mayor Jim Ginn admits there are still issues to be resolved. The biggest problem is the 'seasonal designation' for the property, and that's a problem that exists throughout the Province.
The courts define 'seasonal' as meaning it must be empty at some time of the year, but the municipality cannot determine which season that is, so someone might want to use in the summer, someone else might prefer to use it in the winter.
Mayor Ginn points out that's very difficult for the municipality to enforce. Council asked staff to bring the site plan back to the next council meeting for approval.
