Meaford Community Awards Nomination Deadline Is Tonight

The Meaford Chamber of Commerce has received 40 nominations for its Community Awards.

Chamber office manager Maryann Wark says that as of Wednesday the Chamber had received 40 nominations for winners in the seven different award categories with Meaford residents filing 20 of those nominations within the last week.

Wark adds, however, the Chamber needs still more nominations. "Of the 40 nominations we’ve received, 20 were for Customer Service and the others were spread out over the other six award categories."

The other six are: Agribusiness; Business Owner of the Year; Most Improved Business; Special Merit; Tourism and the Peter Francis Memorial Award.

Wark says that while the deadline for filing a nomination at the Chamber office has passed, Meaford residents can still submit their nominations online at www.meafordchamber.ca, fill out the nomination form and send it in before midnight tonight.

The Meaford Chamber of Commerce will hold its 17th Annual Community Awards Presentation on Saturday, March 28 at the Meaford Community Centre.
