Mother Teresa In Walkerton Finishes High In Ontario Elementary School Rankings

The Fraser Institute has put a Walkerton elementary school in their top 100 schools in the province.

The Vancouver-based institute has put Mother Teresa at 100 out of 3,037 elementary schools across Ontario. The Bruce-Grey Catholic School Board school placed 23rd out of all Catholic schools in the province as well.

Arran-Tara Elementary School finished second out of area schools at 204th.

A total of eight area schools finished in the top 1,000. Immaculate Conception in Formosa (391st), Goderich (445th), Derby Public in Kilsyth (445th), Northport Elementary in Port Elgin (548th), Port Elgin-Saugeen Central (721st), and Sacred Heart in Mildmay (721st) round out the list.

G.C. Huston in Southampton was the lowest-ranking public school in the region, scoring a 2.2 ranking out of ten - which was an improvement over their 2012-13 score of 0.2.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
