Huron County Municipalities Make Joint Presentation To ROMA

Morris-Turnberry, North Huron, Huron East and Central Huron made a joint presentation to Provincial officials last week at the ROMA Conference in Toronto.

Morris-Turnberry Mayor Paul Gowing explains they were asking for regulatory changes in implementation in the Investment in Natural Gas Expansion program that was introduced in 2004.

At this point they haven't had any information on the criteria required to qualify for the program, or any time line on the application process.

Gowing points out the talk around the conference was very supportive of the program moving ahead.

Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Jeff Leal, assured them the information would be forthcoming but no dates were provided.
