Hydro One crews are working to restore power to more than 14,000 customers in South Huron and Middlesex counties.
The power went out around 5 this evening in a wide area ranging from Goderich at the north end, southeast through Seaforth, Clinton, Mitchell and St. Marys and west over through Exeter, Lucan and Parkhill.
No word on the reason for the outage at this time, but a band of freezing rain had moved through the area shortly before the outage was reported.
Hydro One estimates power should be restored by about 8:30 this evening
