North Perth Talks Drainage Projects

North Perth Council met Monday night to discuss some of the proposed drainage projects for the upcoming year, including the relocation and improvement of the Mackenzie and Krugel Hyle Municipal drains.

Council also heard the proposal of appointing Drainage Superintendent to cover both North Perth and Perth South. It's an idea presented by Manager of Operations and current Superintendent Jamie Morgan.

Morgan feels a new Drainage Superintendent could take sole responsibility of that role and would be a benefit to all the residents of both municipalities.

Council also discussed the budgeting at the Perth Meadows residences as well, approving a 5 percent monthly rates increase. At the next meeting on March 23rd, council will decide on the approval of the new drainage projects discussed Monday night.
