Perth County OPP investigated the crime and followed numerous leads and OPP Forensics officers attended and were able to obtain evidence from the scene.

With the assistance of the Ontario Centre of Forensic Sciences, the evidence was analysed and eventually led to the identification of a West Perth youth as the person responsible for the crime.

The male was charged last month with break and enter and theft under $5000.

He appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice (Youth Division) in Stratford yesterday (March 02) and was found guilty of the crimes and was sentenced to complete community services hours and pay restitution to the victim.
