Frozen Watermain In Meaford

Residents on Collingwood St. in Meaford now have to take jugs to the town’s water plant to get water for daily uses.

The watermain on Collingwood St. has frozen, stopping the flow of water to homes between Thompson and Cook streets.

Homeowners can fill jugs at the water treatment plant on Grandview Dr. in Meaford. Jugs can also be filled at the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre.

Environmental Services Chief Chris Collyer predicts it could be a month before the water is flowing to that Meaford neighbourhood again.
