Meaford Community Event Planners Meeting

There's plenty of cooperation in Meaford when it comes to planning this year's community events.

Representatives from two dozen clubs and organizations gathered this week for the annual Community Event Planners Meeting.

It was hosted by the Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival committee, and involved input from the Meaford Rotary Club, Museum, Meaford Hospital Foundation, Bruce Trail Conservancy, BIA, Reef Boat Club and several other delegates.

One event getting a lot of attention was the "Day on the Bay." It's run by members of the Reef Boat Club.

Each boat owner would take visitors for a day-long excursion on Georgian Bay. The price of each boat ride would be a donation to the Meaford Hospital Foundation.
