Harriston Man Charged After Stabbing At Arthur House Party

A 31-year-old Harriston man is facing assault charges after a stabbing in Arthur on Saturday night.

Wellington OPP say they were called to a house party on Smith Street just before 10pm, to the report of a stabbing.

Police say the victim, who knew the suspect, was taken to local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

The suspect was located and arrested a short distance from the residence.

31-year-old Jason Meloche has been charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
