Morris-Turnberry Man Injured In Failed Snowmobile Stunt

A Morris-Turnberry man is in hospital after a snowmobile crash Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 2 p.m., Huron County OPP officers along with Huron County EMS responded to a farm property on Clegg Line near Jamestown Road.

Police say the initial investigation indicates the injured male was driving solo on his machine when he tried to ramp over a large hill in the field.

As he got to the top of the hill he lost control, and was thrown from his and got entangled in the machine as it toppled over him.

The 20-year-old Morris-Turnberry male was initially transported to hospital in Wingham and later transferred to hospital in London by air ambulance.

He remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
