Owen Sound Man Suffers Cat Bite

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is investigating an animal bite in Owen Sound but this time it's not a dog.

Officials say a man tried to remove a grey cat from under a vehicle so he could move it and the cat bit him. The incident happened in the 1500-block of 3rd Ave. E, on Saturday around 12:30pm.

The man could not determine who owned the cat but believes it's mainly an indoor cat.

Staff need to confirm the cat is not infected with rabies so the victim can avoid post exposure rabies treatment.
