Drone Day At Clinton's Reach Centre

Saturday is International Drone Day at the REACH Centre in Clinton.

General Manager Matt Lee explains International Drone Day is all about having fun with drones and remote-controlled cars and trucks. But it's also an opportunity for drone owners to tell people about some of the positive and creative uses for drones.

Lee points out that often all we hear about drones is when they crash into a building, or worse, an airplane. So one of the objectives of Saturday's event is to balance that image.

Lee adds they've also created an aerial track above the arena floor where people will be invited to race the drones.  Below that track people will be racing their remote-controlled cars and trucks.

The events runs from 10am until 5pm on Saturday at the REACH Centre in Clinton.
