OPP Cracking Down On Distracted Driving

A week-long OPP Distracted Driving Campaign starts today.

A news release from the OPP indicates that this is shaping up to be the seventh year in a row where inattentive driving surpasses impaired driving as a factor in fatal collisions in the province.

So far this year, driver inattention has been listed a factor in 12 of the 51 fatal collisions investigated by the OPP.

Police are launching a week-long education and enforcement blitz.
