Power Back on For North Huron and South Bruce

Update: As of 7:20 p.m

Power appears to be back on for residents and businesses in northern Huron and southern Bruce counties after over an hour with the lights off.

Parts of Wingham, Lucknow, Ripley and Teeswater experienced outages early Monday evening.

Lights went off just after 6 p.m  due to what Hydro One called an equipment failure.

Westario Power says outages for their customers were due to loss of supply from Hydro One. The company confirmed just after 7:20 that power had been restored to all customers.

Hydro One says crews are on scene and estimated a restoration time of 7:00 p.m. Lights came back on not long after that time.
