Minto May Take Over Harriston Lions Medical Centre

Minto is looking at taking over the Harriston Lions Medical Centre.

The centre makes a small profit each year and is worth about $300,000. However, the Harriston Lions do not have the manpower to continue on with the clinic.

The Harriston Lions built the medical clinic in the 1970s and it now houses several doctors.

“We want to make sure that we keep medical personnel in town for the town’s benefit from the economic development standpoint. It’s a win-win for everybody around and we will keep it going,” says Mayor George Bridge.
