New Palmerston Road Named After War Hero

Minto has settled on a name for a new road in the Palmerston Industrial Park.

It will be named after Palmerston's First World War hero, Frank Lambier.  Minto council earlier proposed naming it after Minto Boer War veteran Arthur Ross.  But the Palmerston Legion recommended the name Frank Lambier Court.

"We’re going to take the recommendation from the Palmerston Legion of Frank Lambier which is obviously a good choice," says Mayor George Bridge.

The Palmerston Legion Branch is also named in honour of Lambier.
