Two Huron Business Groups Look at Partnership

There's talk of a possible partnership between the Huron Business Development Corporation and the County's Economic Development Board.

HBDC past-president Rick Hundey says the Federal Economic Development Agency has three million dollars available for municipalities and non-profit groups to implement economic development projects in Southern Ontario.

Hundey is convinced that if HBDC joined forces with the Economic Development Board,  the two agencies could raise enough to leverage a considerable amount from FEDEV. That money would be used for projects that would benefit all Huron County residents.

The proposal has received moral support from Huron County council.   The next step is a meeting of representatives of the two organizations.
