Hanover Man To Carry Pan Am Torch

A Hanover man is one of the latest torch bearers to be named for the Pan Am Games Torch Relay.

John Grant was selected through the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation's "Pass it ONtario" program.

“It feels surreal to be chosen for this incredible honour,” says John Grant, previous recipient of the Hanover Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award. “I’m proud to be part of this community and thrilled to share the excitement as the torch passes through!”

Through the OLG's program, the Hanover Chamber of Commerce selected Grant to carry the Pan Am torch as it makes its way through Owen Sound because he embodies the core characteristics of the Torch Relay; community, celebration, participation and pride.
