Tiverton Fundraiser For Lindsey Gossell

A hockey-theme fundraiser is planned at the Tiverton Sports Complex tomorrow evening for a young lady going through treatment for kidney cancer.

The event for 19-year-old  Lindsey Gossell includes a hockey game, silent auction, and Chuck-the-Puck.

Doors open at 7pm, and the game between the Tiverton Panters and the Tiverton Firemen Select Team starts at 8pm.

There will be a bus to take people from Kincardine to Tiverton, donated by Ross Young Bus Lines.

The bus will leave the Davidson Centre at 7pm to go to Tiverton, and return to the Davidson Centre at 11pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
