Stewart's In Mildmay Recognized By The Province

The Government of Ontario is honouring Stewart's Town & Country Market in Mildmay for their work with fresh Ontario produce.

The market received the Platinum All Seasons Award at the 2015 Foodland Ontario Retailer Awards for their creative displays that include Ontario food.

"They [Foodland Ontario] come out with a contest and whether its green house vegetables, tender fruit or fall harvest - there are six contests throughout the year," says Stewart's Produce Manager Debbie Campbell. "You build a big and beautiful display in your store and send it in."

Stewart's was the only independent store to win a major award in the 2015 version of the awards.

The store also won a Foodland Ontario Award of Excellence for winning two years in a row.

More on the awards can be found here.
