Huron County Libraries Go Digital

Huron County Library has begun a time-consuming process to make all micro-film available on-line.

The material on the micro-films is extremely valuable, particularly to researchers, but until now the only way they could access that material was to come to the Huron County Library.

County Librarian Meighan Wark says many researchers have done exactly that, but making that material available on-line is a priority.

Wark explains they're working with the County Museum archives staff as well as corporate records and IT staff on the project. She expects they'll have some of the older and more delicate micro-film available by July.

A provincial grant is covering the cost of the project.
