Armow Wind Turbine Construction Underway

Work is underway on a major turbine project north of Kincardine.

A construction update from Armow Wind says access road construction began in early March and substation excavation began in mid-March.

6 km of access roads have been completed. There are plans for another 40 km.

Five of the 91 turbine foundations have been excavated, and three concrete foundations have been poured.

Turbine deliveries should begin by mid-May. The turbine blades are being made in Tillsonburg and the turbine towers are being made in Windsor.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
