Blyth Festival Sees First Day Sales Double

The Blyth Festival has doubled their first-day sales for the 2015 season.

Tickets went on sale on Wednesday, with revenues increasing 198% from 2014.

Officials with the festival say more people are opting to see every play of the season, rather than just one or two.

"What actually we're seeing, and it's very exciting, is a huge uptick of people who are going 'I want to see everything,'" says  Blyth Festival Artistic Director Gil Garratt.

The festival begins on June 24.
