Driver Killed In South Bruce Peninsula Crash

One man is dead following a single-vehicle collision just outside of Wiarton.

The Ontario Provincial Police says on Saturday around 6:53pm, officers, fire crews and EMS responded to the crash at Northacres Rd. between Boat Lake Rd. and Elm Rd.

The driver was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital. Two other passengers were also taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Northacres Rd. was closed for several hours as officials investigated the cause of the crash. It has since reopened.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
