$25M Regional Fire Training Facility To Open

A new fire training facility on the Bruce Power site will soon be available to municipal fire departments in Bruce, Grey and Huron counties.

James Scongack, vice president of corporate affairs and environmental management at Bruce Power, says the $25-million facility will also be available to area municipalities for emergency preparedness training.

Scongack says is a need for these types of facilities, where fire fighters can train in real life situations.

The new Bruce Power Fire Training Centre officially opens Monday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
