Meaford Hosts Re-Use Fair

Meaford is offering certain collectors or hoarders a chance to make a little money from some of their treasures.

The second annual RE-Use Fair is this Saturday, so there's still time to clean our your shed or garage or basement.

This year's event has been expanded to include an ECO-Fair. There will be vendors selling their eco-friendly wares, as well as local non-profit groups who have an interest in a healthy environment.

Individuals and community groups are looking for specific items, so if you have things that you no longer need, bring them to the fair.

It's Saturday April 18, from 9am to 1pm at the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre.

Some of the items community groups have put on their wish list include:

  • Old electronics for recycling
  • Used batteries for recycling
  • Gently used children's books
  • Books for the Free Exchange Table
  • Extra seeds for the Seed Swap
