Support To Rename Hwy 6 In Wellington County

Wellington North likes the idea of naming Hwy. 6 through Wellington County in honour of former MPP Jack Johnson of Mount Forest.

The idea is being put forward by MPP Ted Arnott who says Johnston was his mentor in politics.

Other municipalities along Hwy. 6 must also agree to the change which will not effect the addresses of people living along the highway.

“Certainly he is an esteemed past member of our community and we’re delighted to be able to support that initiative,” says Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox.
