Owen Sound's City Manager Retires

Owen Sound's city manager is retiring.

In a release sent out today, Mayor Ian Boddy announced that Ruth Coursey will be retiring from her post effective immediately after a 26-year career in municipal government.

Coursey was appointed as city manager in 2011.

Wayne Richtie, the city's director of finance, has been appointed as acting city manager.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
