Howick, North Huron and Minto crews responded to the blaze on Orangehill Rd. just after midnight.
Around 15 out of the 1,100 pigs in the barn were killed.
Crews were at the scene until 5am.
The cause is still under investigation.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
