Walkerton Splash Pad Set For 2016 Construction

A splash pad could be coming to Walkerton as soon as next spring.

The Walkerton Kinsmen say they have received $70,000 in pledges for the pad. They expect to have raised their $80,000 portion of the funding by the end of 2015.

The Kinsmen have asked council to push the construction of the project at Centennial Park ahead to the Spring of 2016.

The project, which is is expected to cost $160,000, will see the Municipality of Brockton and the Kinsmen split the cost.
