Visual Arts Program For Autistic Children In Meaford

Parents of children in the Meaford area who struggle with autism can enroll them in a visual arts program at Meaford Hall.

Meaford Hall and Culture Foundation and the Grey-Bruce Chapter of Autism Ontario have partnered for this visual art expressionism program.

It's called The Blueprint Project and is free for families dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It's open to children ages 5 to 15.

"The concrete, visual characteristics of art help the children to relax and enjoy themselves while they are learning social skills in a controlled environment," states Autism Ontario.

The first session of the eight-week Blueprint Project was held last Sunday. Sessions are held every Sunday afternoon at Meaford Hall from 2:30pm until 4:30pm, and there's no need to register beforehand.
