Meaford Group shares Hidden Risks of Food Packaging

A group based in Meaford is hosting an event Wednesday evening to mark Earth Day. It's a presentation on the hidden risks of food packaging.

The seminar will review various packages, the risks of contaminants that could leach into food, and examine what packages are better choices for consumers.

The event is put on by the non-profit organization 'Women for the Water'. The group is dedicated to providing environmental awareness through education, to inspire change, and promote the care of our water ecosystem.

The seminar, sponsored by the Meaford Area Community Association, is Wednesday evening at 7:00 o'clock at the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre Hall.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
