Bluewater And Central Huron Talk About Economic Development

The municipalities of Bluewater and Central Huron are moving forward with discussions on the possibility of sharing an Economic Development Officer.

Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel explains his council has come up with a job description for the position and approved a motion to proceed with an RFP for the job. Hessel adds Bluewater will use their last rebate from the OPP to fund the position.

Bluewater council has also agreed with Central Huron that the sub-committee for the process should include the mayor and CAO of each municipality.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
