Georgian Bluff's Company Hopes To Double The Size Of Its Facility

A Georgian Bluffs Company hopes to expand and add another 40 workers over five years.

But Caframo first needs to double the size of it's facility on Colpoy's Bay to 40,000 sq ft.

"We're going to expand our workforce, we just prefer to do it here on this site," says Owner Tony Solecki. "We've been here 60 years. It's a beautiful bit of Grey County."

He explains their location in the Niagara Escarpment means they need approvals from several agencies.

The company needs the go ahead from the Niagara Escarpment commission, along with First Nations, the municipality, and the conservation authority .

Caframo develops and manufactures fans, heaters, lab and boat equipment.

"We've grown in the last 20 years from 20 employees, to 80 employees this year, and we are anticipating over the next five years growing by another 40, but we've already run out of space," says Solecki.
