Minto Takes Ownership Of Harriston Lions Medical Centre

Minto has finalized plans to take over operation of the Harriston Lions Community Medical Centre.

The club no longer has enough people to operate the facility.

Council heard the facility is in good shape and it plays a key role in keeping medical professionals in Harriston.

The clinic has an assessed value of $227,000 and it makes a small profit each year. “I have to give the Harriston Lions Club a lot of credit over the years for keeping that going and getting the doctor and dentist in there," says Mayor George Bridge. "I think this is a great solution.”
