New Grey Highlands Fire Vehicle

The Grey Highlands Fire Department is now the proud owner of a new Multipurpose Squad Truck.

The truck is smaller than a full sized pumper. But Grey Highlands Fire chief Rod Leeson says the new truck comes fully equipped to deal with things like car crashes, smaller fires and medical emergencies.

"It isn't necessary buying multiple expensive pumper trucks. This is a better way of offering value to the ratepayers," says Leeson.

The new multi purpose squad truck cost $220,500, paid for by the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

It will be based at the Flesherton fire station.
